Maybe you had a glimpse of something profound: a peace, a love, a feeling of divinity or oneness with God or the universe. Then you woke up one morning and it was gone. If so, you're not alone, and nothing has gone wrong. Your journey towards something infinitely more beautiful has just begun.
This article isn't about the awakening itself. It's about what comes next: the fade, the comedown, the clearing, and the magical journey of bringing your connection to the Divine into your everyday life.
Does a Kundalini Awakening Last Forever?
The extraordinary feelings that accompany a Kundalini awakening don't necessarily last forever, even when the experience itself has been profoundly life-changing. I know this because some of the most beautiful moments of my life have come from awakenings that eventually faded.
Since my first awakening, I've experienced states of bliss, sensations of energy rising through my spine, deep inner peace, and an overwhelming love and sense of Oneness with the Divine. Sometimes these experiences lasted for hours, while others stayed with me for several glorious days.
But eventually, those feelings would begin to fade, and I'd find myself returning to the familiar world of business pressures, everyday responsibilities, frustrations, worries, and that endlessly busy mind.
At first, I couldn't understand why something so wonderful wouldn't simply stay with me. I'd experienced a happiness more profound than anything I'd ever known, and naturally, I wanted to feel that way forever.
It was only through the loving guidance of my Guru, VillyMa, that I began to understand what these experiences were showing me.
Kundalini awakening isn't the destination. It's the beginning of a much deeper journey toward lasting Union with the Divine.

Why Do You Feel Depressed After a Kundalini Awakening?
Feeling low after a Kundalini awakening can happen when the extraordinary peace, love and bliss you've experienced begin to fade, leaving you longing to return to those beautiful feelings. I understand this more deeply than I wish I did, because there were times when the sadness I felt afterward was overwhelming.
I remember wondering how I could possibly return to my ordinary life after experiencing something so sacred. Nothing had gone wrong with my family, my business or the world around me, yet I felt as though I'd lost the most precious thing I'd ever discovered.
It broke my heart.
And perhaps the hardest part was that I didn't know whether I'd ever experience that kind of happiness again.
If you're going through something similar, I want you to know that I understand why it hurts. When you've experienced a depth of love and peace beyond anything you previously imagined, returning to your familiar state of consciousness can feel terribly disappointing.
But there is something important I eventually came to understand.
The fading of an extraordinary experience doesn't mean you've lost everything it revealed to you.
That experience may have opened your eyes to a possibility you never knew existed. And once you've discovered that possibility, you have a wonderful reason to continue exploring the path ahead.
Why Does the Feeling Fade After a Kundalini Awakening?
The blissful feelings that accompany a Kundalini awakening can fade because energetic blockages within your chakras and energy channels interfere with your connection to the Divine. VillyMa helped me understand this through a wonderfully simple explanation.
Kundalini is the cord that connects us to the Divine, much like the electrical cord that connects a lamp to its source of power. (I explain this analogy in more detail in What Is Kundalini?.)
As Kundalini awakens, it rises through the energy channels along the spine and the seven chakras toward the Crown Chakra, deepening our connection with the Divine.
But here's something important that I didn't understand when I first began my journey.
Throughout our lives, we experience heartbreak, disappointment, fear, anger, grief and all kinds of emotional pain. These experiences can leave energetic blockages within our chakras and channels, making it difficult for Kundalini to rise freely and for our connection with the Divine to remain steady.
An awakening can give us a precious glimpse of what that connection feels like. But when those blockages remain, the experience may fade, leaving us longing to feel that peace and love again.
And this is where VillyMa taught me something that changed the way I approached my spiritual practice.
The answer isn't to keep chasing another spectacular awakening. It's to gently clear the blockages that stand between us and a deeper, more lasting connection with the Divine.
That's the beautiful simplicity of the Satya Awakening Technique™. Rather than trying to force Kundalini to rise, we focus on gently preparing and clearing our energy system, allowing our connection with the Divine to deepen naturally, in its own time.

What Are the Stages After Kundalini Awakening?
After Kundalini awakening comes a path of four stages, Awakening, Clearing, Integration and Surrender, leading to lasting Union with the Divine. The technique VillyMa taught me wasn't a standalone meditation. It was the first step of an entire path, the Satya Awakening System™.
What makes this system so special is that each stage has a specific purpose, along with its own techniques and practices to help guide you forward.
We begin by awakening our connection with the Divine. Then, through Clearing, we work on removing the energetic blockages that interrupt that connection. Integration helps us carry the peace, love and awareness we experience during meditation into our everyday lives. And finally, through Surrender, we learn to release our attachments and desires, allowing our connection with the Divine to deepen toward Union.
It's a complete spiritual journey, with a clear path to follow, rather than a collection of powerful experiences we're left trying to understand on our own.
And that's something I find deeply comforting. I no longer have to wonder what comes next or spend my days desperately trying to recreate an experience from the past. I have a path to follow, practices to guide me, and a Guru who has devoted herself to helping others discover this beautiful connection for themselves.
Awakening
You begin to consciously feel your Kundalini and experience your connection with the Divine.
Clearing
Chakra by chakra, channel by channel, the blockages that interrupt your connection are gently cleared.
Integration
The connection is carried out of quiet moments and into your ordinary daily life.
Surrender
Letting go of the desire to “achieve” Union, and allowing the Divine state to become natural.
Union
The destination: living from a lasting, natural connection with the Divine.
Awakening: The Beginning of the Journey
Through the Satya Awakening Technique™, we begin by gently preparing and clearing our energy system, creating the conditions for Kundalini to awaken naturally and opening the door to a deeper connection with the Divine.
Clearing: Making the Connection Stronger
Clearing means gently removing the energetic blockages that interfere with Kundalini's natural movement. As your path clears, two things happen: your connection becomes easier to return to, and it becomes deeper.
What first feels like subtle peace can deepen into profound stillness. Connection can deepen into love. Love can deepen into oneness. Brief glimpses become richer experiences of the Divine.
Integration: Bringing It Into Your Day
Integration means staying connected while you live your life, not just while your eyes are closed.
It's easy to feel peaceful in a quiet moment, then stand up and spend the rest of the day feeling separate again. Integration is the practice of remaining connected while you talk with your husband or wife, play with your children, work, walk, eat, drive, and even deal with problems.
Gradually, your time in that connection expands. A few quiet moments. Then longer. Then you carry it with you afterward, into more and more of your day.
Surrender: Letting Go of Achieving Union
Surrender means letting go of the desire to "achieve" Union, and allowing the Divine state to become natural.
VillyMa teaches that this is the fourth phase of the path, the step between Integration and Union. Union is not one more goal to reach. When the striving is released, the Divine state is allowed to become natural.
Union: Where the Journey Leads
Union with the Divine is the destination: a lasting connection where the line between your quiet moments and the rest of life disappears. It stops being somewhere you occasionally visit and becomes the place you live from.
Union with the Divine is our most natural state of being. It's not reserved for a chosen few. It's open to everyone, regardless of their religion, beliefs or background. As VillyMa taught me, we're built for it, the way a bird is built to fly.
We haven't lost our ability to experience it. We've simply forgotten how to return to it.
How Do You Keep Growing After a Kundalini Awakening?
After a Kundalini awakening, the most important thing is to embrace the experience with joy and gratitude, even if those extraordinary feelings eventually fade. Because I want you to understand something that took me far too long to realize.
You haven't lost something. You've discovered something!
You've been given a glimpse of what's possible. You've experienced a level of peace, love or bliss that you may never have imagined existed. And rather than feeling disappointed when those feelings fade, I encourage you to celebrate what you've discovered.
Because what if your awakening wasn't simply a wonderful experience that came and went? What if it was something far more meaningful?
An invitation from the Divine. Your calling card to return Home.
That's how I've come to understand my own awakening. It was a confirmation that I was on the right path, and an invitation to continue walking it toward something even more extraordinary: lasting Union with the Divine.
And if you've experienced something similar, here is the guidance I'd love to share with you.
- Celebrate your awakening. Whatever you experienced, receive it with gratitude. Don't allow disappointment over fading feelings to overshadow the incredible gift of having experienced them in the first place.
- Continue your spiritual practice. Your awakening is a wonderful beginning, and now you have an opportunity to deepen that connection. Gentle, consistent practice, particularly focusing on clearing your chakras, can help you continue along the path.
- Be patient and trust the journey. Spiritual growth isn't always accompanied by dramatic experiences. Sometimes the most meaningful changes are subtle: greater peace, more patience, a softer heart, or a growing sense of love for the people around you.
- Remember where this journey is leading you. The glorious possibility that lies ahead is learning to live in an increasingly deep and lasting connection with the Divine, until Union becomes your natural state of being.
And above all, please remember this:
Your awakening wasn't something beautiful that happened to you and then disappeared. It was an invitation to discover something beautiful that's been waiting within you all along.
You've received your invitation. Now it's time to begin your journey Home.

What Should You Do in the First Few Days After a Kundalini Awakening?
In the first few days after a Kundalini awakening, my advice is to give yourself time to rest, stay grounded in everyday life, and resist the temptation to force another extraordinary experience.
I know how tempting that can be. When you've experienced something so blissful that you never want it to end, it's only natural to want to return to those feelings as quickly as possible. I certainly did.
But one of the most valuable things my Guru, VillyMa, helped me understand is that spiritual growth doesn't come from constantly chasing the next experience. It comes from patiently preparing ourselves for a deeper, more lasting connection with the Divine.
So if you've recently experienced an awakening, here are a few things I'd encourage you to do.
- Give yourself time to rest. An awakening can be an intense experience, emotionally and sometimes physically. Get enough sleep, eat nourishing meals, spend time outdoors, and allow yourself to settle back into your normal routine.
- Be gentle with your spiritual practice. If you already have a meditation practice, approach it with patience rather than intensity. And if a technique leaves you feeling uncomfortable or overwhelmed, give yourself permission to stop and seek guidance.
- Find someone experienced who can guide you. I can't overstate how valuable VillyMa's guidance has been throughout my journey. Having a teacher who has personally experienced Kundalini awakening, and who can help you understand what you're going through, can make an enormous difference.
And please remember that if you're struggling with persistent depression, severe anxiety, insomnia or other distressing symptoms, seeking appropriate professional support is important too.
Above all, I want you to remember this.
You don't have to make another awakening happen. You've already been given a glimpse of what's possible. Now you have the opportunity to discover where that invitation can lead.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens after Kundalini awakens?
The intense experience fades and ordinary life returns. That isn't failure. In the Satya Awakening System™, awakening is followed by clearing blockages in the chakras and channels, then integrating the connection into daily life, then surrendering the desire to achieve Union so that lasting Union with the Divine can become natural.
Why do I feel depressed after a Kundalini awakening?
Some people experience sadness or disappointment after a Kundalini awakening, particularly when a period of peace, love or bliss begins to fade. I've experienced this myself, and I know how painful that contrast can feel. But I encourage you to remember that the fading of those feelings doesn't mean your spiritual journey has ended. If sadness becomes persistent or overwhelming, please seek support rather than assuming it's something you simply have to endure.
Can you lose your Kundalini awakening?
The experience fades, but the connection isn't lost forever. In my experience, gentle daily practice makes it easier to return to and steadier over time. Think of your first awakening as a glimpse of what is possible, an invitation to something infinitely greater.
Can Kundalini awakening happen more than once?
Yes, people can experience multiple Kundalini awakening experiences, and each one may feel different. I've personally experienced many profound moments of bliss, peace, energy rising through my spine, and Oneness with the Divine since my first awakening. Some have been gentle and subtle, while others have been extraordinarily powerful. But I've learned that the purpose of my spiritual practice isn't to collect more awakenings. It's to continue deepening my connection with the Divine.
What physical sensations can happen after a Kundalini awakening?
People describe a wide range of physical sensations during and after Kundalini awakening, including warmth, tingling, vibrations, waves of energy, and sensations of movement along the spine. I've experienced some of these myself, particularly powerful sensations of energy rising through my back. But not everyone experiences Kundalini in the same way, and physical sensations alone don't determine how far someone has progressed spiritually. Persistent or troubling physical symptoms shouldn't automatically be attributed to Kundalini.
Should I continue meditating after a Kundalini awakening?
Yes, gentle, consistent meditation can be a wonderful way to continue your spiritual journey after a Kundalini awakening, provided the practice feels comfortable and supportive. My Guru, VillyMa, taught me the importance of gradually clearing the chakras rather than forcing Kundalini to rise. This is why I encourage people to follow a structured technique with guidance from an experienced teacher. And remember, the goal isn't to recreate yesterday's bliss. It's to deepen your connection with the Divine, one day at a time.
How long does it take to integrate a Kundalini awakening?
Integration happens gradually: brief moments of connection become longer, then begin to carry into your day, your work and your relationships. Be patient with yourself and keep going; consistency matters much more than speed.
What is Union with the Divine?
Union is the destination of the path: a lasting, natural connection with the Divine that you live from, not just visit in rare moments. My Guru, VillyMa, taught me that it is our most natural human state, open to anyone of any faith or none.
With love,
Caleb
