I didn't go looking for a Kundalini awakening. I was a stressed, anxious entrepreneur who, one night, found himself alone, emotionally broken, begging God for help.
At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about Kundalini, chakras, meditation, or enlightenment. I was a husband, a relatively new father, and an ordinary man who, despite everything I'd worked so hard to achieve, was deeply unhappy.
But something happened that night that would change the direction of my life forever. And what followed was so beautiful, so extraordinary, that even today I sometimes struggle to find the words to describe it.
This is my personal Kundalini awakening story: how a desperate prayer led me to my Guru, VillyMa, and how one ordinary Tuesday morning, while walking to work, I experienced a love, peace, and happiness beyond anything I had ever imagined possible.
But the story really began during one of the most difficult periods of my life.
Who Was I Before My Kundalini Awakening?
Before my Kundalini awakening, I was an entrepreneur, a husband, and a relatively new father who appeared to have a successful life, but privately, I was deeply unhappy.
My marriage was struggling. My health was suffering. I was constantly stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed by the pressures of running a business and trying to keep everything together.
And perhaps the most frustrating part was that I couldn't understand why I was so unhappy.
I'd spent years believing that if I could just achieve a little more, earn a little more money, or somehow get everything in my life under control, I'd finally feel the happiness I was searching for. But no matter what I accomplished, that happiness never seemed to arrive.
Looking back, I can see that I was trying so hard to arrange the world around me so that I could finally feel peaceful within myself. And it simply wasn't working.
I had absolutely no spiritual background. I couldn't have told you what a chakra was, and if you'd asked me what enlightenment meant, I probably would have imagined the Buddha sitting beneath a tree or some yogi meditating in a cave high in the Himalayas.
Whatever enlightenment was, I certainly didn't believe it had anything to do with someone like me.
Until one night, when everything became too much.
What Happened the Night I Said "God, Help Me"?
I was alone, emotionally exhausted, and feeling completely overwhelmed by everything happening in my life.
I'd spent so long trying to solve my problems, trying to make things better, trying to find some way to feel happy again. Eventually, I reached a point where I simply didn't know what else to do.
So I prayed out loud:
"God, help me."
It wasn't some carefully prepared prayer. It was simply a desperate plea from someone who was suffering and didn't know where else to turn.
And then something happened that I will never forget. I heard a voice inside my head that said:
"You will never be happy until you become enlightened."
I was stunned. Of all the things I could have imagined hearing, that certainly wasn't one of them.
My first thought wasn't that God had answered my prayer or that some wonderful spiritual journey was about to begin. It was something much less inspiring:
"Am I going crazy?"
Because what was I supposed to make of that? I'd just heard a voice telling me that the answer to my unhappiness was to become enlightened. I didn't even know what enlightenment was!
And even if I could somehow figure that out, how on earth was an ordinary businessman with a wife, a child, and a mountain of responsibilities supposed to become enlightened?
But as strange as the experience was, I couldn't simply forget what I'd heard. So I began searching the internet, trying to understand enlightenment and find someone who could teach me how to achieve it.
I thought I needed to find an enlightened master. Someone who had actually experienced whatever this state was supposed to be.
There was just one problem. As far as I could tell, all the enlightened masters I was reading about were dead.
And then, quite unexpectedly, I received a phone call from an old friend of mine named Amit. We ended up talking for hours. I told him everything: the problems in my life, how unhappy I'd become, the prayer I'd made to God, and the strange voice I'd heard inside my head.
And Amit told me something I hadn't expected. He knew a lady who lived near his mother's home in Mumbai, India. A lady who, he believed, might be able to help me.
Her name was VillyMa.
And although I didn't know it at the time, that conversation was about to change my life.
How Did I Discover the Satya Awakening Technique?
I discovered the Satya Awakening Technique™ through my Guru, VillyMa, who introduced me to the spiritual practice that eventually led to my first profound Kundalini awakening.
Our first meeting took place over Skype. She was a lovely, gentle lady who radiated a deep sense of calm and warmth.
But I was also a little skeptical. After all, I'd been searching for an enlightened master, and I'd imagined someone wearing flowing robes, living in a monastery, or surrounded by spiritual mystery.
VillyMa wasn't anything like that. She was so human, so natural and ordinary in the way she spoke and related to me. And yet there was something about her that felt deeply extraordinary. What struck me most was how peaceful she seemed simply being herself.
VillyMa began teaching me the Satya Awakening Technique™, a spiritual practice focused on gently clearing the chakras and energy channels to prepare for Kundalini awakening.
At the time, I didn't understand much of what she was teaching me. I certainly didn't understand how a spiritual practice could possibly help me find the happiness I'd been searching for. But I trusted her enough to begin.
And so I practiced.
For years, I'd been looking outside myself for the answer to my unhappiness. Now, for the first time, someone was showing me how to begin looking within.
I wasn't trying to produce some spectacular spiritual experience. I didn't even know what a Kundalini awakening would feel like. I was simply following the guidance of a teacher I had come to trust.
And then, one completely ordinary Tuesday morning, something extraordinary happened.

What Happened the Morning My Kundalini Awakened? The Tuesday I Never Made It to Work
On the morning my Kundalini awakened, I was overwhelmed by a wave of Divine Love, bliss, peace, and Oneness with something infinitely greater than myself.
It happened while I was walking through a park on my way to work. I'd eaten breakfast, kissed my wife and son goodbye, and set off for the office as I normally would. There was nothing unusual about the beginning of that day.
But somewhere along the way, I began noticing how beautiful everything around me seemed. The sunlight. The gentle breeze against my skin. The sound of birds singing in the trees. Things I'd probably passed a thousand times without giving them much thought suddenly seemed almost impossibly beautiful.
And then, from somewhere deep within me, an immense feeling of love began to arise.
I don't know how else to describe it. It wasn't romantic love. It wasn't even the love I feel for my wife or my son, as deep and precious as that love is to me. It was something vastly greater. A love so enormous, so pure, so completely overwhelming that I felt as though it was pouring out of every part of my being.
And with it came a feeling of peace and happiness unlike anything I'd ever experienced. Not the excitement of achieving something. Not the temporary pleasure of getting something I wanted. Not the relief of finally solving a difficult problem. This was something entirely different.
I was experiencing a happiness that didn't seem to depend on anything happening in my life.
Nothing had changed. I hadn't suddenly become wealthier. My marriage hadn't magically improved. My business problems hadn't disappeared. And yet none of those things seemed capable of disturbing the peace and love I was experiencing.
For the first time I could remember, I wasn't searching for happiness. I was simply happy. More profoundly happy than I had ever imagined a human being could feel.
As I continued walking, the feelings became so intense that eventually I couldn't continue toward the office. So I stopped. I found a place beneath a tree, lay down on the grass, and surrendered to what was happening.
And there I stayed. For the entire day. I never made it to work.
I was so completely absorbed in the bliss, the peace, the love, and the beauty of simply being alive that there was nowhere else I wanted to be. I didn't need anything. I didn't want anything. There was nothing I needed to achieve, fix, change, or become.
For those precious hours, simply existing was enough. And I cannot begin to tell you how extraordinary that felt.

What Did Oneness With the Divine Feel Like?
One of the most profound aspects of my Kundalini awakening was a deep sense of Oneness with something infinitely greater than myself. And this feeling continued over the following days.
I remember reflecting on a question that most of us probably take for granted: "Who am I?"
Normally, the answer would have been obvious. I'm Caleb. I'm Irish. I'm a husband and a father. I'm an entrepreneur.
But during those days, none of those answers seemed to capture what I was experiencing. I was still all those things, of course. But I felt that what I truly was extended far beyond my name, my nationality, my occupation, or any of the roles I played in life.
I felt part of something immeasurably greater. Something infinite. Something Divine.
I remember thinking that I could simply sit and stare at a wall, and I would still be overflowing with happiness. Can you imagine that?
After spending so many years trying to arrange my life in a way that would finally make me happy, I was suddenly experiencing more happiness than I'd ever known. And I didn't need anything at all. Simply being alive was the most wonderful thing in the world.
For me, this was my first profound experience of Kundalini awakening. And it changed everything I thought I knew about happiness.
Did My Kundalini Awakening Last Forever?
The bliss of my first Kundalini awakening lasted for several days, but eventually those feelings began to fade.
And I have to tell you, that was heartbreaking. Because how do you return to ordinary life after experiencing something so beautiful?
I wanted to feel that love forever. I wanted to live in that peace. And when the feelings eventually faded, I couldn't understand why.
Had I done something wrong? Had I somehow lost my connection with the Divine? Would I ever experience anything so beautiful again?
Since that first awakening, I've been blessed with several other profound spiritual experiences. Some lasted for minutes or hours, while others continued for days.
But through the loving guidance of VillyMa, I eventually came to understand something that transformed the way I viewed these experiences.
My awakening hadn't shown me something wonderful that I'd subsequently lost. It had shown me something wonderful that was possible.
And that realization changed the direction of my spiritual journey.

What Did My Kundalini Awakening Teach Me About the Purpose of Life?
My Kundalini awakening taught me that the happiness I'd spent so many years searching for in the world around me could be experienced from within, through a connection with the Divine.
But VillyMa helped me understand something even more important: Kundalini awakening isn't the destination. It's the beginning of the journey.
Those experiences of peace, love, bliss, and Oneness weren't the ultimate goal. They were glimpses of something far greater.
She taught me that our spiritual journey is ultimately leading us toward Union with the Divine: a state in which the profound peace, love, and connection we may experience during awakening become a natural part of everyday life.
Not something we experience for a few glorious hours, but something we learn to live from. While we're working. While we're spending time with our families. While we're simply enjoying the gift of being alive.
Before meeting VillyMa, I'd imagined that enlightenment was reserved for saints, mystics, or yogis who had spent decades meditating in caves. But VillyMa taught me that Union with the Divine is our most natural human state.
You don't have to abandon your family, give up your career, or disappear into the Himalayas. You can begin this journey right where you are.
That's what I love about the Satya Awakening System™. It's a structured spiritual path through Awakening, Clearing, Integration, and Surrender, guiding us toward lasting Union with the Divine.
VillyMa describes Kundalini as the cord connecting us to the Divine. Through the Satya practice, she teaches us to gradually clear the obstructions within our chakras so that we can experience that connection more deeply.
And the more I've walked this path, the more I've come to appreciate what she was showing me from the very beginning.
Everything I'd spent my life searching for in the world around me was already waiting within me.
When I think about the person I was before that desperate prayer to God, I feel an enormous sense of gratitude. Gratitude for Amit, who introduced me to VillyMa. And above all, gratitude for VillyMa herself, whose love, wisdom, and guidance opened the door to a spiritual journey more beautiful than anything I could have imagined.
Today, one of the greatest joys of my life is having the opportunity to share this path with others.
Because I know what it feels like to be unhappy. I know what it feels like to search desperately for answers. And I also know what it feels like to discover something so powerful that it changes the way you understand your entire existence.
That's why I'm sharing my story. Not because I want you to admire my experiences, but because I hope they might inspire you to discover what's possible within yourself.
Could You Experience a Kundalini Awakening Too?
Yes. Kundalini awakening isn't reserved for special people. I'm just a normal, everyday person like you. If it happened to me, it can happen to you.
When I first met VillyMa, I knew almost nothing about spirituality. I was an ordinary man with an ordinary life, searching for happiness. And through the practice she taught me, I discovered something that changed my life in ways I could never have imagined.
You don't need to be "spiritual enough." You don't need to be a master of yoga or meditation. And you don't need to move to a cave in the Himalayas. You simply need the right technique, a trusted guide, and the willingness to show up. That's exactly what VillyMa gave me, and it's what I now share with others.
And here's what I want you to know: this path is open to everyone. It doesn't matter what religion you follow, or whether you follow no religion at all. Kundalini awakening isn't about adopting a new belief. It's about experiencing something extraordinary that's already within you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How did your Kundalini awakening start?
My Kundalini awakening journey began during a personal crisis, when I prayed out loud to God for help and experienced a voice inside my head telling me I would never be happy until I became enlightened. That experience led me to my Guru, VillyMa, who taught me the Satya Awakening Technique™. My first profound awakening happened later, while walking through a park on my way to work.
Was your Kundalini awakening frightening?
That Kundalini awakening experience was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. There was nothing frightening about it. But it's true that some people have frightening experiences. One explanation is that some people use intense breathing techniques, yoga asanas, or other methods to force their Kundalini to awaken before their energy system is prepared to handle it. And that's why the approach we take is so important. The Satya Awakening Technique™ isn't about forcing Kundalini to awaken. It's about gently preparing your system so that awakening can happen naturally, and safely, in its own time. This gentle approach is essential to supporting a peaceful and balanced awakening. Of course, everyone's experience is different, and no method can guarantee how an awakening will unfold. But my experience in the park that day wasn't fearful. It was extraordinary, loving, peaceful and immensely joyful.
Who is VillyMa?
VillyMa is an enlightened master. She is my Guru. She taught me the Satya Awakening Technique™ and showed me that awakening is only the beginning of a path whose destination is Union with the Divine. Everything I share on this site comes from the teachings she shared with me, mixed with my own experience of being on this journey and guiding others.
Do you need to be religious to awaken Kundalini?
No. Kundalini is not a religion and there's no dogma involved. I use the word "the Divine," but you can say God, the Universe or whatever feels right. People of every faith, and people with no faith at all, can experience it.
What happened after your Kundalini awakening faded?
After my Kundalini awakening faded, I felt heartbroken and desperately wanted to experience that extraordinary love and bliss again. Through VillyMa's guidance, I came to understand that awakening was a glimpse of what was possible, and an invitation to continue deepening my spiritual connection.
With love,
Caleb
