How we write and review this content

You deserve to know where the guidance on this site comes from, and how it's checked.

Where the content comes from

Every guide on KundaliniAwakening.com is written by or with Caleb O'Dowd, in the first person, and is based on two things: his own direct experience of Kundalini awakening and years of practice, and the teachings of his Guru, VillyMa, who taught him the Satya Awakening Technique™.

Where we describe what other people commonly experience, we say so. Where something is Caleb's personal understanding or the view of his tradition, we say that too. Different traditions describe Kundalini and the chakras differently, and we respect that.

How every article is checked

  • Accuracy: facts about Caleb, VillyMa and our programs are checked against original recordings, transcripts and course materials.
  • Plain English: we explain Sanskrit terms and avoid jargon, so a complete beginner can follow along.
  • Safety first: articles on intense experiences include clear guidance on going gently and pausing whenever you need to.
  • No medical claims: our content is spiritual and educational. It is never a substitute for medical or psychological care.
  • Honest about our products: when we mention our own programs, we tell you they're ours.
  • Kept up to date: every article shows when it was last updated, and we revise guides as readers ask new questions.

Not a religion

Kundalini is not a religion, and nothing on this site asks you to adopt any belief. People of every faith, and of no faith, are welcome here.
